NOTICE OF LOCATION AND DESIGN APPROVAL P. I. 0016584 THOMAS COUNTY Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project. The date of location and design approval is: May 10, 2024 The proposed project replaces the County Road (CR) 298/ Coffee Road bridge over the Aucilla River in Thomas County located approximately 6 miles west of Barwick, Georgia in Land Lot 269. The proposed bridge is 144 feet long with 11-foot travel lanes and 4-foot wide shoulders. The proposed bridge would be constructed on existing alignment with traffic routed to an off-site detour during construction for approximately 12 months. The project length is approximately 0.4 miles. Georgia Department of Transportation would be responsible for acquiring property rights for this project.
