THOMAS COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REQUESTING ZONING CHANGE Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Thomas County Board of Commissioners in the 3rd floor Commission Chambers, Thomas County Historic Courthouse, 225 North Broad Street, Thomasville, Georgia, June 25, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The hearing will be held to consider a request to amend the Zoning Map of Thomas County as described below: Application No.: 24-6-1 Gordon D. Hardy, Managing Member of Centerville Partners, LLC, agent for the property owner, Elizabeth Powell Flowers, has filed an application for a zoning change. The subject property is located on South Pinetree Boulevard (Map 046, Parcel 119 consisting of 14.12 acres, more or less.) The request is to rezone the subject property from AG (Agricultural) to R-2 (Residential, Single Family) to allow for the development of a residential subdivision consisting of approximately 18 lots. All interested citizens are invited to examine the requested zoning change documents on file in the office of the Thomas County Planning & Zoning Department, 227 West Jefferson Street, Thomasville, Georgia. Written comments regarding this request may be sent to the Thomas County Zoning Administrator, P.O. Box 1173, Thomasville, Georgia 31799. Verbal comments may be made in person or by representative at the hearing. Proponents and Opponents will be allowed ten (10) minutes with one (1) or two (2) spokespersons. This 29th day of May, 2024.
